What if my child is shy?
Then these classes were made for them! It is our goal to help children find confidence within themselves through performance. We do not shun shyness, we look for ways to overcome it by teaching children to look inwards at their strengths. We will encourage your child, reassure them that they are in a safe space to express themselves, and applaud their growth at each turn. Our instructor, Zakiyyah, was an incredibly shy child, and through the guidance of beloved acting teachers and dear friends, she found a home and her voice on the stage. We will be honoured to help your child find theirs.
Does my child have to attend Block 1 before they can attend any other block?
Nope! Each block is self-contained and consists of its own set of learning materials independent of other blocks. That means that your child can start in Block 1, Block 2, or Block 3 and be right on track! Of course, we would love to work with your family as soon as Block 1, but we understand that schedules vary throughout the year, which is why we are proud to offer this flexible option.
What can I expect upon registering?
After submitting the form below, you will receive an email outlining payment instructions for finalizing your child's spot in the class. As a courtesy, your child's space will be held temporarily for a maximum of 3 business days after the registration form below is submitted. After which, if payment is not received, the spot will be released and available to book by other parties. Your child's spot is guaranteed only upon receipt of payment.
Can my child join more than one block?
Absolutely! We would be delighted to work with your child for multiple blocks.
How much do classes cost?
Classes are offered in blocks that consist of 4 classes each. Each block is priced at $120 (equivalent to $30 per class). For example, if you purchase one block (4 classes), the price is $120 total. If you purchase two blocks (8 classes), the price is $240. Lastly, if you purchase all three blocks (12 classes), the total price is $360. At this time, classes are only offered in blocks and are not available to be purchased individually. Block 1 classes are currently being offered free of charge. Registration is necessary to attend these classes, and space is limited.
Can my child join a block already in progress?
At this time, we do not accept registrations for blocks already in progress. This ensures a more consistent environment for children as they build relationships with one another and their instructor. This also gives your child the opportunity to progress through learning materials at a comfortable, unrushed pace. We appreciate that you want to begin as soon as possible- we would love to have your child in our next available block!
How do I pay?
Via Interac e-Transfer to oncuedramaclub@gmail.com within 3 business days of registering your child. If the block you are enrolling your child in begins within 3 business days of the date you register, payment is due upon registration.
Is my child's spot guaranteed once I submit the online registration?
No. Your child's spot in your selected block(s) is guaranteed only after payment is received.
How many children are in each class?
Classes will contain a maximum of 12 children. This ensures each child is given ample time and attention from our coach during both group and individual performances.
How are the classes structured?
At the top of each class, we will play improvisation games and ice breakers. This will help children become more familiar with their fellow performers. We will then begin vocal, speech, and body movement warm-ups. This will direct children to focus on enunciation, as well as gain comfort within the space they are performing. We will review terminology and concepts learned in previous classes of that block. We will also work on analyzing and performing scripts.
Where are classes held?
Classes are held at Franklin Horner Community Center, located at 432 Horner Ave., Etobicoke, ON M8W 2B2. The final class of each block is held onstage in the auditorium, where your child will showcase what they've learned!
What is your refund policy?
Payment is non-refundable; however, if your child is no longer able to attend classes that you've registered for, their registration may be transferred to a different block free of charge. Please note: You must notify us before the start of the first class of your original registered block (before September 19, October 24, or November 21, depending on your registration) in order for us to accommodate this transfer.
What ages does On Cue work with?
While it is our plan to eventually develop classes for children in grades 10-12, we currently only offer classes for children in grades 1-9. Follow us on IG to keep up with our announcements!
What are the dates and times again?

Are free classes being offered?
Yes! Our Block 1 classes (Saturdays, Sept 19-Oct 17) are currently being offered for free to all three age groups. Online registration is required for participation. Space is limited, so register your child below to secure their spot!
Are there waitlists?
Yes, a waitlist for each class will be created once classes fill. If you register for a class that is already full, you have the option of adding your child to the waitlist. If a space becomes available for your child in the chosen waitlisted class, you will be notified via email and given the opportunity to claim the space. We will move down the waitlist in the order that registrations are received. Joining the waitlist is free; you are required to pay registration fees only once you accept an open space for your child.
