She has been featured in film, television shows, plays, and national and international commercial campaigns throughout North America.  Some of her most recent work includes commercials for brands like Fisher-Price, Hello Fresh, and President's Choice. You can also catch her on projects streaming on Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix!

While acting is her passion, children are her heart; She has worked in various roles with kids in childcare and education for over 16 years. Some of those roles include as an ESL teacher, enrichment program coordinator, coach, and even a babysitter!

In her own words, Zakiyyah understands how daunting performing and just being seen can be:

"As a young child, I was especially shy and reserved. It wasn’t until I discovered theater and the performing arts that I began to come out of my shell. I found my voice, became more confident, and found camaraderie in a vibrant and accepting community of artists. Acting has taught me that if I lean into the discomfort and vulnerability of performing, so much strength, growth, and beauty spring forth as a result."
